The Pra Nakprok ‘Run Ram Ruay Ngern Tong’ edition amulets are for me (Ajarn Spencer), the beginning of a new Dtamra and pantheon of amulets, in the lineage continuance heritage of the Great Luang Por Koon Purisatto, of Wat Ban Rai. I personally am very exited to begin to collect and document and follow the trajectory of the lineage continuance master of the Wicha and Dhamma teachings of Luang Por Koon, as we witness the advent of the prime apprentice of Luang Por Koon and Master Gaeji Ajarn, Luang Por Tong, create the net editions of sacred amulets of Wat Ban Rai.

Luang Por Tong is the Looksit (apprentice in Buddhist Monk’s practice, and magical Wicha), to Luang Por Koon (R.I.P.), and the successor to the temple of Wat Ban Rai, as its new abbot. Luang Por Tong became very early respected as a disciple of Luang Por Koon for Luang Por Koon would always take him wherever he traveled. Luang Por Koon had many disciples all over the country. But it was Luang Por Tong who was the closest lifelong apprentice, and ‘Looksit Aek’ number one student, and inheritor of the Wicha Luang Por Koon.
Luang Por Koon took Luang Por Tong on Tudong wandering through the forest for many years before they returned to Wat Ban Rai, where Luang Por Tong acquired his experience in Wicha, and Vipassana Kammathana methods, and began to inherit the Magical Prowess of his master Luang Por Koon.
The Pra Nakprok Ram Ruay Ngern Tong was released in Late April 2564 BE in Buddha Abhiseka at Wat Ban Rai in Nakorn Rachasima, with Luang Por Tong, performing blessings and the opening of the eyes of the Buddha (Dhamma Chakra). The rear face of the amulets all have a Yant Paya Nak with Yant Mongkol Serm Duang in the center of the coiled Naga serpent Deity. Auspicious Incantations are encoded within the Yant Duang.

After many years of Tudong travels and staying with Luang Por Koon in temples around Thailand, both the master and his disciple Luang Por Tong returned to Wat Sa Kaew. Before going to develop the temple of Wat Ban Rai together. But in 1990, Luang Por Tong was sent to reside at Wat Phra Phutthabat Khao Yai Hom, Thep Sathit District, Chaiyaphum Province, to practice meditation and make merit. He helped to develop the temple prosperously. Later, he returned to stay at Ban Rai Temple, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, with his disciples constantly making merit at the temple. Following in the footsteps of his master, Luang Por Koon Parisuttho. Luang Por Tong was born in the province of Nakhon Ratchasima in 1954. He became a disciple of Luang Por Koon. Under the guidance of Luang Por Koon, Luang Por Tong became a skilled practitioner of Wicha, a form of Thai spiritual magic. Together, Luang Por Koon and Luang Por Tong founded Wat Ban Rai, a temple complex in the province of Nakhon Ratchasima.
Because Luang Por Tong was always by the side of Luang Por Koon, he was known as the ‘Looksit Gon Kuti’ which means ‘disciple who is at the steps of the Masters Hut (actually it means; sits below the master’s hut) No matter where Luang Por Khun went to perform ceremonies, Luang Por Koon asked him to attend the consecration ceremony of Luang Por Koon’s sacred objects since the year 1974, and Luang Por Tong was invited to assist in empowerments around Thailand with Luang Por Koon, over many decades.
One could say that the two monks were almost inseparable for many decades. while being ordained at Wat Sa Kaeo, Luang Por Tong was noticed by the Great Luang Por Koon. Luang Por Koon saw that Luang Por Tong was a quiet and humble monk who rarely spoke. obedient, helpful, humble in speech, eager to learn. Luang Por Koon hence adopted him as a student and began transmitting Dhamma, and Wicha (magic spells), Including the inscription of Takrut using Khom Agkhara Sanskrit characters, and the making of Buddha amulets, and other magical talismans.

How to Pray to Thai Amulets
In 2015, Luang Por Koon passed away, leaving a void in the leadership of Wat Ban Rai. Luang Por Tong was chosen as his successor, continuing the lineage of Wicha and Buddhist practice that he had learned from his mentor. Under the guidance of Luang Por Tong, Wat Ban Rai has continued to thrive as a center of Buddhist practice and pilgrimage.
